We provide a comprehensive Travel Health Service. We specialise in providing support to organisations across the private, public & third sectors in helping them support their employees when they are travelling overseas either on short trips or longer duration assignments.
The Travel Health Nurses at Waterloo Health Clinic have been specifically trained in Travel Health and are experts in delivering this service. They have a wealth of knowledge and experience and are continually updating their practice and knowledge to ensure they are fully equipped to meet the needs of our customers.
Our Travel Health Nurses deliver 30-minute Travel Health Consultation focused on ensuring the traveller has a thorough understanding of the health risks associated with their destination/s and that they have the right vaccinations and any another appropriate medication and medical supplies for their trip. Vaccinations, medications & medical supplies are of course additionally chargeable.
Based on the trip destination/s and profile of activities being undertaken our Travel Health Nurses also brief the traveller on best practices to minimise the risk of illness and accidents. Our Travel Health Nurses uses the daily updated TRAVAX system to keep pace with new and emerging global health risks. We also provide travel health information sheets to support what has been discussed.
At the time of appointment booking the traveller is issued with a Travel Health Questionnaire for pre-completion.
If the traveller is attending our Waterloo Health Clinic then they would bring along the completed Travel Health Questionnaire to the appointment and at the end of the appointment any required vaccinations would be conducted.
If the traveller has requested a telephone appointment then the Travel Health Questionnaire must be returned via email at least 24hrs in advance of the appointment. If the need for any travel vaccinations is identified during the appointment then a separate appointment can be booked at our Waterloo Health Clinic to have the vaccinations conducted.See the full range of Vaccations
We also offers a fully managed Travel Clearance Service. There are two levels offered:
Travel Health Nurse led service: A Travel Health Questionnaire is issued by email to the traveller for completion. Once returned this will then be reviewed within 5 working days and a signed certificate will then be issued by the Nurse. The certificate will declare the traveller: Fit for Travel; Fit for Travel (with advisory/advisories); Unfit for Travel (with explanation/s). The certificate will be emailed to the traveller and a designated central point of contact at their sponsoring organisation.
Travel Health Nurse & Doctor led service: This service builds on the Travel Health Nurse led service with the addition of the review, by a Doctor, of Medical History & the most recent Medical (Health Assessment) results available.
A Travel Health Questionnaire is issued by email to the traveller for completion. Once returned along with Medical History & Medical (Health Assessment) results this information will then be reviewed within 10 working days and a signed certificate will then be issued by the Doctor. The certificate will declare the traveller: Fit for Travel; Fit for Travel (with advisory/advisories); Unfit for Travel (with explanation/s). The certificate will be emailed to the traveller and a designated central point of contact at the sponsoring organisation. An expedited 72hr turnaround service is available.
We has experience and expertise in delivering Medicals prior to travel or deployment. Many organisations typically mandate annual or biennial Medicals for regular (high-frequency) travellers. ToHealth has extensive experience in the design and management of these types of programmes.
We can work to clients preferred specifications or advise and design bespoke specifications based on typical traveller profiles i.e. type of organization, locations travelled to, typed of work/activities to be conducted etc.
Prices for medicals are quoted based on the agreed specifications. A typical Medical (Pre-Travel/Deployment and/or Regular Travellers) specification would be as follows:
• 45 minutes on-site or at the clinic.
• 30 min follow-up call/video conference to discuss additional laboratory analysis results (within 5 working days of original appointment).
