ToHealth can provide your employees with all the medical assessments they need to meet the requirements of the Oil & Gas industry. These medicals are designed to ensure an individual’s fitness to work within this environment.

Dutch & Norwegian Requirements are now covered by the OGUK certificate – ToHealth will no longer be issuing Norwegian Certificates. The OGUK Offshore Medical is valid for two years and allows you to work in the UK sector or the North Sea.

Please note that from March 26th 2018, there is a requirement for a separate medical for anyone undergoing BOISET or FOET training.  Please see here for more information

What tests are in an OGUK Medical?Oil and Gas

By choosing ToHealth you can be assured of a fully compliant OGUK medical consisting of the below tests:

  • Completion of Patient Health History Questionnaire
  • Urinalysis – routine urine test with instant results
  • BMI – measurement of height, weight and calculation of Body Mass Index
  • Basic vision test which includes Colour Vision
  • Pulse and Blood Pressure Measurement
  • Lung Function Test (peak flow)
  • Audiogram (hearing test)
  • Consultation with an OGUK doctor
  • We can also include a shoulder measurement as part of the assessment. This is a requirement for working in the North Sea.

OGUK Medical FAQ

?Do I need to bring anything with me to the appointment?
You will be required to bring along photographic identification and ideally we would like you to arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment time. You should also bring with you a record of any medications you are taking in regards to pre-existing medical conditions.
?Where will my medical take place?
Your medical will take place at our London Waterloo Clinic which is conveniently situated right next to Waterloo train station. The address is 41 York Road, London, SE1 7NJ
?How long will the medical take?
The medical should take around 90 minutes to complete, we work on a timed appointment basis so you will be seen on time and can plan your day without the worry of delays.
?Do I get my certificate on the day of my appointment?
Yes, as long as you are deemed fit by the doctor conducting your medical. You will provide you with the certificate at the end of your appointment to take away with you.
?How long is the certificate valid for?
The full certificate is valid for two years. You can renew your certificate with us by making an appointment in advance.
